CLASS OBSERVATION We want class time to be productive for everyone, so we do not allow visitors in class every week. The last week of each month is designated as "Visitation Week". Parents are invited to observe classes during that week. Students work better when their attention is not divided between teacher and parent. We want them to be able to completely focus on the teacher and class. It also takes up valuable class space. We appreciate you cooperation with this matter. SUPERVISION Parents are responsible for supervising their children (not in class) while in the waiting room. Supervision is for your safety of your child and the consideration of others. The studio has a lot of people in and out during the week, parent supervision also helps us in keeping the waiting room and bathrooms clean. RECITAL AND COSTUMES Our recital is held the first weekend in June. We like for all students to participate, but it is not required. There is a $30.00 recital fee due May 1. You receive 2 tickets with the recital fee. Costumes are ordered in December so they will arrive in time for our recital in June. Costume prices range from $45.00 - $60.00. A costume deposit ($40.00) will be due in December and the costume balance is due February 1. For your convenience, we suggest that you pay a little extra with tuition each month toward the costume. No costume will be ordered without a deposit! Once costumes are ordered, all costume charges are non - refundable. We also have professional pictures and video available to you at recital time. Purchased separately from the photography studio and videographer. CLASS ATTIRE Students must wear proper dance clothes. The student must be able to move freely and the teacher must clearly see how a student is working in order to make corrections. This will be strictly enforced. ABSOLUTELY NO STREET CLOTHES ALLOWED IN CLASS Ballet -- leotard, tights, and pink ballet shoes -- no dance pants, big t-shirts, or boxer shorts.
